In short: Quran Atlas does not collect the content of your Quran reading, searches, bookmarks, notes, study activity, or listening history. Everything you create in the app — topics, bookmarks, collections, reference cards, notes, reflections, and custom categories — is stored locally on your device. كل ما تُنشئه داخل التطبيق — المواضيع، والإشارات المرجعية، والمجموعات، والبطاقات المرجعية، والملاحظات، والتأملات، والفئات المخصصة — يُحفظ محليًا على جهازك.

iCloud (optional): if you turn on Library Backup in Settings → Data & Backup, this content syncs privately through your own Apple iCloud account. Voice memos are the one exception: they're stored locally on your device only and are never included in iCloud backup or sync. When you share a topic as text or a PDF, it's sent directly through your device's own share sheet (for example Messages, Mail, or AirDrop) to whatever destination you choose — that content never touches our servers. Sharing a Reference Card, a Playlist, or a topic as a link works differently: the content — including any notes or comments you've chosen to include — is uploaded to our servers through our sharing service so we can generate a short link. Anyone who has that link can view the shared content; there's no account or sign-in involved on either end. Shared links expire automatically after one year. We don't currently offer a way to delete a shared link before it expires. The core Quran text, along with several translations and tafsir sources, is bundled with the app and works fully offline from first launch. Additional translations, additional tafsir sources, and audio recitations are fetched from public third-party sources as you use the app, and cached on your device for offline use afterward. Quran Atlas uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-preserving analytics service, to understand how app features are used and to improve the app. يستخدم أطلس القرآن TelemetryDeck، وهي خدمة تحليلات تحافظ على الخصوصية، لفهم كيفية استخدام ميزات التطبيق وتحسينه.
When Anonymous Usage Analytics is enabled, Quran Atlas may send anonymous feature interactions (for example, that the Reading Panel was opened, or that a reading theme was changed) together with randomized technical identifiers that TelemetryDeck uses to process aggregate analytics — an identifier associated with this app installation and a session identifier. Quran Atlas does not send TelemetryDeck the Quran verses you read, your searches, bookmarks, notes, study topics, reading history, listening history, or other user-created content. Per TelemetryDeck's own published Privacy FAQ, IP addresses are never stored on their servers. We do not use this analytics data for advertising, and we do not permit it to be used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
