In short: Quran Atlas does not collect the content of your Quran reading, searches, bookmarks, notes, study activity, or listening history. We use privacy-preserving analytics to understand how app features are used and to improve the app — see Anonymous Usage Analytics below.

Data We Collectالبيانات التي نجمعها
We do not collect any personal information. Quran Atlas does not require an account, login, or sign-up of any kind.

Everything you create in the app — topics, bookmarks, collections, reference cards, notes, reflections, and custom categories — is stored locally on your device.

Data Storage & Cloud Backupتخزين البيانات والنسخ الاحتياطي السحابي
On your device: all topics, bookmarks, collections, reference cards, notes, reflections, and settings are saved locally using your device's own storage.

iCloud (optional, iOS): if you turn on Library Backup in Settings → Data & Backup, this content syncs privately through your own Apple iCloud account. This is governed by Apple's own privacy policy and is never accessible to Marsa Digital.

Google Drive backup (optional, Android): if you turn on Google Drive backup in Settings → Data & Backup, the same content described above is uploaded to a private, hidden storage space in your Google Drive account that only Quran Atlas can access — it does not appear among your regular Drive files, and we never request access to anything else in your Drive. Connecting a Google account here only authorizes this backup; it does not create a Quran Atlas account, and Marsa Digital never receives your Google password or any broader access to your account. This backup stays off by default and is never turned on without your explicit action. You can disconnect it at any time from the same Settings screen — disconnecting stops future backups but does not delete the existing backup file, which you can also remove entirely by revoking Quran Atlas's access from your Google Account's security settings.

Voice memos (iOS): are stored on your device, and are backed up automatically to your own private iCloud account whenever it's available — independently of the Library Backup setting above, and never accessible to Marsa Digital. If a recording's audio is ever missing on a device, Quran Atlas may try to restore it from iCloud automatically; this isn't guaranteed every time. Deleting a voice memo removes it from your device and requests its removal from iCloud, though this may not happen instantly.

Voice memos (Android): are stored on your device only and are never backed up to Google Drive or any other cloud service. Switching devices or deleting the app will not restore them.

Topic Sharingمشاركة الموضوعات
When you share a topic as text or a PDF, it's sent directly through your device's own share sheet (for example Messages, Mail, or AirDrop) to whatever destination you choose — that content never touches our servers. Sharing a Reference Card, a Playlist, or a topic as a link works differently: the content — including any notes or comments you've chosen to include — is uploaded to our servers through our sharing service so we can generate a short link. Anyone who has that link can view the shared content; there's no account or sign-in involved on either end. Shared links expire automatically after one year. We don't currently offer a way to delete a shared link before it expires. Other app data that you have not explicitly shared through a server-based sharing feature stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.

Quran Contentمحتوى القرآن
The core Quran text, along with several translations and tafsir sources, is bundled with the app and works fully offline from first launch. Additional translations, additional tafsir sources, and audio recitations are fetched from public third-party sources as you use the app, and cached on your device for offline use afterward. We do not log or store any information about which verses you read, search for, or listen to.
يُرفَق النص القرآني الأساسي، إلى جانب عدة ترجمات ومصادر تفسير، مع التطبيق ويعمل بلا اتصال بالكامل منذ أول تشغيل. أما الترجمات ومصادر التفسير الإضافية، والتلاوات الصوتية، فتُجلَب من مصادر عامة تابعة لجهات خارجية أثناء استخدامك للتطبيق، وتُخزَّن مؤقتًا على جهازك بعد ذلك للاستخدام دون اتصال. نحن لا نسجّل أو نخزّن أي معلومات عن الآيات التي تقرؤها أو تبحث عنها أو تستمع إليها.
Anonymous Usage Analyticsالتحليلات المجهولة للاستخدام
Quran Atlas uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-preserving analytics service, to understand how app features are used and to improve the app.

When Anonymous Usage Analytics is enabled, Quran Atlas may send anonymous feature interactions (for example, that the Reading Panel was opened, or that a reading theme was changed) together with randomized technical identifiers that TelemetryDeck uses to process aggregate analytics — an identifier associated with this app installation and a session identifier. These identifiers are not based on your name, email address, Quran activity, or other information you provide to Quran Atlas.

Quran Atlas does not send TelemetryDeck the Quran verses you read, your searches, bookmarks, notes, study topics, reading history, listening history, or other user-created content. See "What Analytics Never Includes" below for the full list.

Per TelemetryDeck's own published Privacy FAQ, IP addresses are never stored on their servers. We do not use this analytics data for advertising, and we do not permit it to be used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. Read TelemetryDeck's Privacy Policy and Privacy FAQ for details on how they handle data.
